Glyburide Gestational Diabetes Side Effects
I started taking glyburide for gestational diabetes 2 days ago and today I am sick at all hours?
I looked into side effects of glyburide and nausea and fever are both classified as occurring in 1.8% of users. My ob-gyn & Nutritionist & Perinatoligist can all be reached Monday. Should I take tomorrow morning glyburide, or skip it? It is a medicine used to make work insulin effectively, my numbers are a bit high, but in the "pre-diabetes" category. My fasting normal range without medication 85 to 110, and my one hour after meals varies from 105 to 150. I am 30 weeks pregnant, and even clear liquids are making me sick. I can keep long enough to prevent dehydration, and I am a little sugar water to try to keep my blood sugar to enter the lowest, but I do hold for hours max. My fever is 101, after taking 2 tylenol 1.5 hours ago.
Your blood sugars do not seem to be all out of line. My main concern for you at this moment is your fever 101 after taking Tylenol and the high risk of dehydration. Why Have you fever? My advice is to go now HOSPITAL ER! Go where you are planning to deliver your child. I know the hospital when I delivered, they took me straight to maternity to access my conditions. Do not risk the heath of your two beautiful babies. Better safe than sorry! Remember, Monday is a holiday and your doctors may not be available …. Anyway, I would go. Right now!
