Diabetes Metal Taste In Mouth
keep tasting metal.have diabetes and take Lantus .. Should I worry?

have diabetes taking lantus.taste metal in my mouth 4 days now .. severler also have high blood pressure and am extemely tired most of the time

One problem when seeking advice in this forum is that people tend not to give enough information. For example, if your diabetes is not well controlled which may lead to fatigue. In addition, if your blood pressure is high, that may cause fatigue too. Also the medications you take for hypertension may be a factor in fatigue. Glargine (Lantus) is an excellent choice for basal insulin. If it creates a metallic taste I change patients detemir (Levemir) is also a modern basal insulin analogue. If the two insulins cause a metallic taste – and whether the medication to control your blood pressure is not the case – then you must ask the question of how annoying metallic taste. If your diabetes control glargine then taste metal may be a small price to pay both quality and length of life. I may be able to provide further assistance if you give me more information: johnerussomd@jhu.edu. I wish you the best of health and May God bless you.
