Basal Bolus Diabetes

Diabetes type 1 questions …?
I am a nursing student making a video on the type 1 diabetes and diet Basal-Bolus … I have some questions. What does your needle look like? (a link would be great!) What kind of process do you use when you inject? (where you do not use swabs or cotton wool, etc.?) How your blood glucose in the blood vary? (before and after meals, injections and sleep, etc.) When in a public place, where would you have your injection? How regulated is your diet? (foods that you Never eat, food quantity, etc.) Thank you!
I have an insulin pump. The best thing since sliced bread:). The needle Question: http://www.medtronic-diabetes.com.au/infusion-main.html (mid page is somewhere a pic). The process of question: Shower – Dry skin – cannula insert – all change 2 or 3 days. HMO questions varied: normal pre-prandial, post prandial up to 3 mmol / l higher – 2 hours postprandial return to normal. also the sleep of normal levels as my pump keep my BGL within normal range (4-6 mmol / l) as long as I do my Bgls 8 per day. Bgls VERY high with every use steroid drug (reducing the inflammation of tendinitis, etc.), must operate at 200% for a few days. Elevated pre HMO. And during the illness (flu, etc.). I run a higher percentage of my basal rate to keep up with the Joneses. The public takes place the question I always used to inject anywhere, anytime, anywhere. (arm and abdomen), I thought if someone do not like needles, they should not watch. In addition, the needles are so small, there is little to if you're not right in someones space staff. The power issue: I never eat meat as I am vegetarian. I rarely eat ice cream because it tends to raise my BGL way too much and too fast (in spite of pre-made enough to work faster and insulin analogue) and i fall an hour later. No punishment. Hope this helps.
